New collection of Glad Tidings will be in any day from Nancy Halvorsen. Her book will not be released until mid June, but we have it on order. We did bring back from market some embellishment kits for her Advent calendar panel, as well as some kits for her Garden Song panel.

Donna Truitt came in with her Winner's Bouquet quilt from the class she took earlier this year. Now quilted by Kyra Thomas-Moore, she has much to be proud of her completed project. We will be offering this class again in the spring.

We love it when our quilters bring by their finished projects. Darlene Douglas was in recently with her "Star Gaze" quilt, and the back was aas pretty as the front. Don't you agree.

Check out these creative projects you can do using the selvages of your fabrics. The book "Quilts from the Selvage" has great ideas. Instead of throwing away those selvages, incorporate them into a project. I haven't done this, but one of our customers has.

Marci started the new BOM, Crown Jewels, today. This batik collection from Timeless Treasures is a 12 month program, and the queen and her court were in royal form today, with tiaras and jewels. The jewels were edible.

Back from Quilt Market

We are back from the Houston Quilt Market, all inspired and ready for a new season of quilting. We brought back some great new patterns, and new books, tools, and fabrics will arrive in the next few months. I will have some pictures in the next few days to share, so be on the lookout. Marcy and I were photographed with Jim Shore and J. Wecker Frish of Quilting Treasures. You will remember that J. Wecker Frish, designed "Tiny Tailors". She has continued to come up with some exciting fabrics that we purchased for future deliveries. Can't wait for you to see them.

Jerry and his team kept watch over the shop while we were in Houston. We finally let him cut fabric, but as he will quickly tell you, he does not do colors. The ladies are for that, so be patient with him.

We have several new samples up for you to see, and will soon have some pictures on our blog. Feel free to share some of your projects with us.
